Employee's rights to information privacy in their workplace

It seems there has been an orgy by some large corporations abusing its "power" to intercept worker's private messages since they have control over their link. But the fact is that despite they have that power, corporations should treat this very seriously and put in place ethic practices so the employee's they assign not even my mistake misuse this information or share it with others. Like the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility.

Therefore, a strong ethics policy for the privacy of the employees' information must be in place and a law protecting it too. We need to raise awareness as spreading details over employees private lives or irresponsibly handling of them often lead to gossip, social pressure, loss of reputation, legal or marital problems, and even blackmailing from either unethical large corporations or some of the officials in charge of it.

My humble advice is, do not access your private accounts from work and never give details about your internet provider to anyone, even to a fellow employee. This at least until stronger measures are taken by goverments to ensure worker/employee's privacy rights in the workplace.
