Attackers are now trying to gain your login details by sending you a private msg on facebook.
IMPORTANT! BE AWARE: If you receive a msg with any of the following lines:
- I see you in this video. When was it?
- Smile! You were recorded by a hidden camera
- Who and when made this video of you?
- Is that you making love?!
- Nudity makes you beautiful. Who made this video?
- Is that really you, looking so awful?!!!
- Your ass looks not bad in this video
25.08.08 in last 24 hours I also noticed msgs with: "sorry.error" and "script error" along with malicious links.
DO NOT click on the attached link as you are likely to be redirected to a website pretending to be facebook OR you could be prompted to install a virus. To avoid any further complications, just delete the msg.
Is it too late?
If you followed the link and provided your facebook login details, please change your password immediately, to protect yourself and your friends from further abuse. Furthermore If you installed any unknown components during the visit of the malicious link please scan your computer with anti virus software.
Please note, you should be fine, if you clicked on the malicious link AND:
- Your firewall/anti virus blocked access.
OR
- You clicked on the link and the link did not work (presuming that you have not installed anything or provided your password).
OR
- You clicked on the link and you refused to provide your login details or installing new components.
